Time for a change

Early in 2003 I started e-mailing Ender’s Review to people who had expressed an interest in receiving a compiled list of short quotes or summations for interesting web items with links to those items. At first, the Review mostly focused on things closely related to political issues, but over time it spread its focus further and grew.

Lately, for the last six months or so, I have not kept up as well since I have had my interests widen even further and also taken up some new activities. I had hoped to issue two more Ender’s Reviews of the traditional format, but I have missed that goal. I now plan on one more to sum up 2008. That seems like a good place to end the five year effort.

I will continue to read many of the same sites and will post blog entries here tagged with Ender’s Review (like this one) for those that fit within the spirit of what I have done for the last five years with my compilations. However, I’m taking a break from the “regular” weekly or bi-weekly format and the large number of entries. Over the next few weeks I hope to consolidate my separate web sites and maybe add some new elements. I’ll post here on progress in that vein.

If you have constructive suggestions feel free to comment here or e-mail me at the usual address for Ender’s Review. I will consider suggestions that fit within the reduced format I’m planning. I suspect I may become a more active blogger.

I appreciated the fact that you covered a lot of sites and blogs that I probably would not have found on my own. I look forward to your new format.

I don’t remember when or where I ran across Enders Review (it was a while ago)but it’s been the most valuable thing in my In-box since I started getting it and I have no idea how I’d go about replacing it.
Especially now, with many of the past dire predictions about the fate of the US Empire coming to fruition, the Review, and the direction, information and support it provides those of us out here in the wilderness, will be sorely missed.
If there’s anyway any of us could assist you in maintaining the review in some form, I personally would welcome the opportunity to be a part of that.

I fully agree that when you get tired of doing something, it’s better to quit doing it–I’ve been there myself.

Thanks for the wonderful job you did with the Review.

I will miss the Review but fully understand, as Kevin C put it well. Thanks for all the help through the years.

Just another heartfelt thank you for the wonderful work of the past 5 years. It’s too seldom that we get a chance to express our appreciation, so this is it!!

Please keep the “group” posting-method for the occasional “reviews” that you create in the future, as I (and perhaps others) access them thru the eMail postings to the various “Ender” groups.

BTW: I liked MOST of what I read in the reviews, but the old hi-volume was too much for me to keep up with.

Best of luck with any and all your changes and improvements in the new year!
